Along the back roads of Chester County is a small restaurant that serves up the best in deli dining. Their menu focusses on locally sourced ingredients, deliciously prepared, with friendly service. You can BYOB and eat it there or get it to go. Glenmoore Deli is the little gem that no one told you about, until now!
Glenmoore Deli specializes in deli classics and uses the freshest local ingredients, house-made sauces, and an obvious culinary passion for serving pure numminess. Their Lunch & Dinner Menu is filled with a feast of freshly prepared items to satisfy every palette. “Burgers, Dawgs and Steaks“ offer yummy selections to fulfill your carnivorous cravings. My favorite is their cheesesteak special, “She’s Fancy,” featuring local beef from Gauker Farms, roasted garlic, truffle cheese sauce, caramelized onions, and topped with French’s crispy fried onions. “Fries and Things” offers a comprehensive selection of crispy fried potatoes from hand cut fries to tots as well as Mozz sticks with delicious house made sauces for dipping. You can find your favorite Deli Sandwich amongst their “Cold Sandwiches, Platters or Wraps…Oh My!” The whimsical item names will draw you in to want to read the entire menu when you will realize, before you’ve even ordered, that you’re going to need to come back for more.
If you follow me (@optimistic_kitchen) on Instagram, you know that I have been eating my way through their menu and specials throughout the summer. One of my family’s favorite activities is to take “rides in the country” during the summer and cool off on scenic back roads en route to one of the many green parks in the area. We usually eat at the deli because we love its relaxed atmosphere (and my son is absolutely obsessed with their candy counter!), but it’s also a perfect place to grab a “to go” picnic before heading to Marsh Creek Park, Springton Manor Farm, or Hibernia Park.
On weekends, their breakfast/brunch menu provides even more enticing choices, making it an ideal stop for weekend day trips. Waffles are made fresh to order and are light, crisp, and scrumptious! Order an “Elvis Has Left the Deli” and have them served stuffed with peanut butter, bananas, and bacon! If you are looking to brunch in the burbs, BYOB and order up some Stuffed Brioche French Toast, Eggs Benedict (which they call Eggs Bobby), or a Scrapple Burger.
Glenmoore Deli is located at 1941 Creek Road (aka Route 282) in Glenmoore, PA. Open Wednesday-Sunday, they are a BYOB, cash or check only establishment. Their Specials change every week. They also offer boutique-style catering so you can enjoy their Good Eats at your next event! You can check them out at https://www.instagram.com/glenmooredeli/
